Terms of Service — Skybooks E-Commerce
Effective date: 1 November 2025
Last updated: 2 September 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Skybooks E-Commerce, the e-commerce accounting application available at https://connect.skybooks.lv (the "Application").
The Application is operated by Multihub SIA, trading as Skybooks, registration No. 50203639171, VAT No. LV50203639171, Sesavas street 8, Jurmala, LV-2008, Latvia ("Skybooks", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using the Application, you ("you", "the User") agree to these terms.
These terms cover the Application. The accounting services themselves are governed by the separate engagement agreement between you and Skybooks. Where these terms conflict with your engagement agreement, the engagement agreement prevails.
2. Eligibility
The Application is available to Skybooks accounting clients with an active engagement agreement who operate an Etsy shop in good standing. Accounts are created by Skybooks; there is no public self-registration.
3. What the Application does
Skybooks E-Commerce allows you to connect your own e-commerce sales channels, including your Etsy shop, so that transaction data can be imported for:
- bookkeeping and preparation of accounting records
- sales and payment reconciliation
- reconciliation of marketplace fees and refunds
- VAT and One Stop Shop (OSS) reporting
- financial reporting
- investigation of accounting discrepancies
4. Fees
Use of the Application is included within the fees payable under your engagement agreement for accounting services. Skybooks does not charge a separate fee for access to the Application or for the Etsy connection.
If this changes, we will give you advance notice and your engagement agreement will govern any new charges.
5. Your account
You are responsible for:
- keeping your login credentials confidential and not sharing them
- all activity carried out under your account
- notifying us promptly at info@skybooks.lv if you suspect unauthorised access
- ensuring that anyone you permit to use your account complies with these terms
6. Data protection
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Connecting your Etsy shop
7.1 How the connection is made
You connect your Etsy shop yourself. Selecting "Connect Etsy" redirects you to Etsy, where you sign in directly with Etsy and review the permissions the Application requests. You decide whether to authorise access. Skybooks never receives or stores your Etsy password.
7.2 Your warranties
By connecting a shop, you confirm that you are the owner of that Etsy shop or are authorised to grant access to it, and that doing so does not breach your agreements with Etsy or any third party.
7.3 Scope of access
We request only the permissions needed to provide the services in Section 3, and we use the data only for those purposes.
7.4 Revoking access
You may disconnect your Etsy shop at any time using the Disconnect function in the Application, or through Etsy's Connected Apps settings. After revocation we can no longer retrieve new data from your shop. Data already imported may be retained where required to complete agreed services or to comply with statutory record-keeping obligations.
7.5 Re-authorisation
Etsy authorisations expire periodically. If your connection lapses, the Application will prompt you to reconnect. Data cannot be imported while a connection is inactive, and you remain responsible for ensuring your accounting records are complete.
8. Relationship with Etsy
Skybooks is an independent developer. Skybooks is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or certified by Etsy, Inc.
The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.
Your use of Etsy remains governed by your own agreements with Etsy. Etsy may change, restrict or withdraw access to its API at any time. If it does, some or all of the Etsy functionality in the Application may stop working, in whole or in part, with or without notice. Skybooks is not responsible for changes made by Etsy.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Application for any unlawful purpose
- attempt to access another client's data
- attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits or access controls
- reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Application
- use automated means to extract data from the Application except as expressly permitted
- connect a shop you do not own or are not authorised to connect
- interfere with the operation or availability of the Application
We may suspend access immediately if we reasonably believe this section has been breached.
10. Accuracy of imported data
Data is imported from Etsy as Etsy provides it. Skybooks does not control the accuracy or completeness of data supplied by Etsy, and interruptions or changes to Etsy's API may cause data to be delayed, incomplete or unavailable.
You remain responsible for reviewing your accounting records and for the accuracy of the information you supply to us. This does not limit Skybooks' professional obligations in respect of the accounting services provided under your engagement agreement.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the Application available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, third-party failures and changes to Etsy's API may cause downtime. We will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance where practical.
12. Intellectual property
The Application, including its software, design and documentation, is owned by Multihub SIA. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Application for the duration of your engagement agreement.
Your business data, and data imported from your Etsy shop, remain yours. Etsy content remains the property of Etsy or its members, as applicable.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Skybooks is not liable for:
- loss or corruption of data caused by Etsy or other third-party systems
- interruption of the Application caused by Etsy's API, or by hosting or connectivity failures outside our control
- indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of business opportunity
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Liability for the accounting services themselves is governed by your engagement agreement and by our professional insurance.
14. Term, suspension and termination
These terms apply for as long as you hold a Skybooks E-Commerce account.
We may suspend or terminate access:
- if your engagement agreement with Skybooks ends
- if you breach these terms
- if required by law, or by Etsy's own terms or instructions
You may stop using the Application at any time and ask us to close your account.
On termination, your Etsy authorisation is revoked and stored tokens are deleted. Data retained for statutory or contractual reasons is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. You may request an export of your data before closure, or within 30 days after it.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is published at https://connect.skybooks.lv/terms with the date of the last update. Where changes are material, we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
